Update on 22nd July – As part of the Mukhyamantri Sarthi Yojana, the government started “Birsa” centers (Block Level Institute for Rural Skill Acquisition) across 80 blocks in Jharkhand on 22 July 2024. The plan is to set up similar centers in all blocks within three years, so youth from all areas can benefit from skill training.
The eligibility includes males and females from the general category aged 18 to 35 years, and reserved category candidates up to 50 years. Training will be provided at these Birsa centers, and if candidates remain unemployed within 3 months after completing training, they will receive an employment encouragement allowance to keep them motivated.
