Odisha government has many helpful plans for students. One of the cool plans is the Godabarisha Vidyarthi Protsahana Yojana 2024. This plan gives free computers to the students who deserve them, especially those in 12th grade. Students from SC, ST, OBC, General, SBC, and EBC groups can apply for the Godabarisha Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana 2024.
For a free laptop, the government puts Rs 30,000 in the students’ bank accounts. This money can help with their studies and other needs. It’s a great chance for students to get the help they need.
What is Godabarisha Vidyarthi Protsahana Yojana?
Since 2013, the Higher Education Department has provided free laptops for 12th-pass students in Odisha. This is part of the Godabarisha Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana. The scheme aims to help students with their education costs.
Many students in Odisha can apply for various scholarships. These scholarships are available at pre-matric, post-matric, and higher education levels. The Odisha government wants to help students achieve their dreams.
However, things changed in 2020–21. The government replaced the free laptop scheme with Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Now, students get Rs. 30,000 directly in their bank accounts instead of receiving a laptop.
This amount can be used to buy laptops or other educational materials. Around 15,000 students benefit from this program. They receive a single payment of Rs. 30,000 to help them with their studies.
This change has made it easier for students to get what they need for their education. It’s a great opportunity for all those bright students in Odisha!
