Assam Gunotsav 2025 is continuing its work to improve education in Assam. The fifth phase will take place from January 3 to February 9, 2025. This important scheme covers 31 districts over three phases to check and enhance students’ learning throughout the state. The schedule was shared by the Samagra Shiksha Assam (SSA) mission director. In the first phase, 11 districts including Barpeta, Karimganj, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Sibsagar, South Salmara-Mancachar, and Udalguri will be part of the assessment. Self-evaluation will happen on January 3, 2025, and external evaluation from January 4 to 6, 2025.

This scheme checks how well students are learning in every school in the state and gives quick feedback to help teachers and schools improve. The whole program happens in three steps between early January and early February. It involves many schools in different districts at each stage.
Latest News: From January 3 to February 8, 2025, Assam Gunotsav will review teaching quality across 35 school districts. It covers Government, Provincialized, Tea Garden, Residential, and Adarsha Schools, including KGBVs. Around 3,963,542 students from classes 1 to 9 will take part. To carry out the evaluation properly, 18,098 external evaluators are assigned across the state based on student numbers per school. Evaluators range from 1 to 3 based on school size.

Guidelines for Assam Gunotsav 2025
- Two kinds of assessments: Self-evaluation and External evaluation
- Marks distribution: 90% academic work, 5% co-curricular, and 5% community service
- More than 4,276,881 students from classes 1 to 8 participate
- The question papers are made to check strengths, learning gaps, and help improve education quality

Results of Assam Gunotsav 2025
The assessment covers 33 districts in Assam over three phases. The Education Minister of Assam has said the results will be out on April 15, 2025, by 11 AM. You can easily check the results online.
