According to the data that has been made public, the Ujjwala scheme has only received 6-7 lakh beneficiaries, which is not nearly enough to meet the need. Additionally, the state’s gas companies are striving to upgrade the infrastructure in remote areas so that cylinders can be delivered door to door. - Following the same process used to determine the district’s Phase-I objective in the State, the Member Secretary determines the number of beneficiaries in Phase-I FPS by district.
- The MLAs on the committee responsible for choosing the beneficiaries for Phase-I get the MMABY rules from the Member Secretary as well as the target list broken down by FPS.
- The District Selection Committee recommends the authority to finalise the list if the MLA is unable to do so within a week of receiving the list of Phase I recipients.
- The Financial Year 2017–18 Beneficiaries List has been decided by the Forest Department. The RFO would be in charge of entering their applications in the Common Application Form as a result.
- The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana recipients who already have gas connections are not qualified for the program’s free gas stoves and refills.
- Any female family member with a PHH/AAY ration card who is at least 18 years old who is informed of the Phase-I beneficiaries may visit the Gramme Panchayat office, Jana Snehi Kendra, or Bangalore 1 centre to submit an application for MMABY using the required form.
- Each Phase-I applicant must present their Aadhaar number at the service kiosk and confirm that their home has a gas connection.
- While completing the application, the applicant has the option of selecting the agency located there.
- The qualified Phase-I beneficiaries would receive an endorsement after the application was finished. The applicant is qualified to submit an MMABY application, according to this endorsement.
- The food inspector would get the application. A special Consumer ID number would be created and utilised for all upcoming operations. The applicant receives an SMS upon FI verification.
- Each recipient receives a photocopy of the cheque as well as the list of beneficiaries via FI. The beneficiary gives the LPG distributor the completed application form, the MMABY acknowledgement, a photocopy of the cheque, and the release order.
- The distributor releases the SV to the beneficiary after receiving approval from the OMCs and enters the beneficiary’s information into the FCS software’s web portal using their login credentials.
