About PM eVIDYA 2025 – One Nation One Digital Platform
The Government of India started the PM eVIDYA 2025 program to connect students across the country with online education. After May 30, 2020, the top hundred universities started online classes. Since not all students have internet access, the government also launched the Swayam Prabha DTH TV channels, including 12 new channels focused on teaching. The Diksha platform provides e-learning content and QR code-based books for all classes.
PM eVIDYA 2025 is called the ‘One Nation One Digital Platform’. It also includes TV channels named One Class One Channel for students from classes 1 to 12. For students with hearing or visual challenges, radio podcasts are available. The government wants every child to keep learning, no matter the lockdown.
TV Channels Expanded Under PM eVIDYA 2025 Program
To help more students, the government increased the One Class One TV Channel system from 12 channels to 200 channels. This was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during the 2020-23 Union Budget speech. Children, especially in rural areas and from weaker communities, have missed two years of education due to school closures. Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing

Online Coaching for Competitive Exams
To help students prepare for exams like IIT and NEET, the Department of Higher Education offers online video lectures and daily practice tests through the Abhyas mobile app. Swayam Prabha channel 22 is dedicated to this coaching.
