Nabard Dairy Farming Plans and Subsidy Breakdown
- Plan 1: Small dairy unit with 2 to 10 indigenous or hybrid milch animals. Investment up to ₹5,00,000. 25% subsidy for general category, 33.33% for SC/ST farmers. Maximum subsidy for 10 animals is ₹1.25 lakh (₹1.67 lakh for SC/ST).
- Plan 2: Calf rearing unit with 5 to 20 calves from crossbreed and indigenous breeds. Investment up to ₹80 lakh. Subsidy up to 25%, capped at ₹1,25,000 (₹1,60,000 for SC/ST).
- Plan 3: Vermicompost and organic manure production units. Investment up to ₹20,000. Subsidy up to 25% or 33.33% for SC/ST beneficiaries.
- Plan 4: Purchase of milk testing and milking machines and refrigerators (up to 2000 liters). Investment up to ₹18 lakh. Subsidy of 25% (₹4.50 lakh) for general, 33.33% (₹6 lakh) for SC/ST.
- Plan 5: Buy equipment for milk product processing. Minimum investment ₹12 lakh. Subsidy of 25% (₹3 lakh) for others and 33.33% (₹4 lakh) for SC/ST.
- Plan 6: Dairy product transport and cold chain setup. Investment minimum ₹24 lakh. Loan subsidy up to ₹7.5 lakh (25%) for others, and ₹10 lakh (33.33%) for SC/ST.
- Plan 7: Cold storage for milk and dairy products. Minimum investment ₹30 lakh. Subsidy covers 25% of costs with special support for SC/ST, including subsidies up to ₹80,000 for mobile units.
- Plan 8: Private veterinary clinic setup. Investment ₹1.80-2.40 lakh with 25%-33.33% subsidy.
- New Plan: Dairy marketing outlet or dairy parlor setup. Investment ₹56,000 with subsidy of 25% or ₹14,000 (₹18,600 for SC/ST).
