Kutumba Yojana is a new pension scheme announced by the state government of Odisha on 9th August 2024. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced the new Kutumba pension scheme for families of freedom fighters in Odisha during the August Kranti Divas celebration.

Under the Kutumba Pension Yojana, the Odisha government will identify the families of freedom fighters in Odisha and will provide pension to the family members. In this article, let’s talk about the amount of pension, eligibility criteria, application process and documents required for the application of Kutumba Yojana.

Odisha Kutumba Yojana 2024 – Pension Scheme for Freedom Fighters Families

Odisha Kutumba Yojana 2024 pension scheme will provide monthly pension to the families of freedom fighters. The chief minister of Odisha has launched the scheme on August Kranti Divas. The scheme will be implemented very soon.

People from across the state were demanding such pension scheme for a long time, but, due to various reasons, previous governments were not able to launch any pension scheme for freedom fighter families or the earlier schemes were not proving to be of any great benefit to such families. Government of Mohan Charan Majhi has decided to launch this new scheme to provide more benefits.

मैंने क्रांति दिवस के अवसर पर भुवनेश्वर में राज्य स्वतंत्रता सेनानी संघ द्वारा आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया। मैं स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के बलिदान को कभी नहीं भूलूंगा।

हमारी सरकार कुटुंब योजना के तहत स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के परिवारों को भत्ता प्रदान करेगी। जल्द ही स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के परिवारों की पहचान कर उन्हें उचित सम्मान दिया जाएगा।

पहले स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों को भत्ता दिया जाता था। लेकिन ये उसके लिए काफी नहीं था. लेकिन अब कुटुंब योजना के तहत उनके आश्रितों को भत्ता दिया जाएगा. फलस्वरूप वे अपने पूर्वजों के बलिदान को गहराई से महसूस करेंगे और स्वयं को गौरवान्वित मानेंगे।

Pension Amount Under Odisha Kutumba Yojana

The state government will provide pension to the families of the freedom fighters after identifying such families. The pension amount and other details have not been finalized yet. The state government will soon prepare the draft for this scheme.

Similar to other schemes, pension amount of Odisha Kutumba Pension Yojana will also be transferred directly to the bank account of the eligible member(s) of the freedom fighter family through the DBT Mode.

How to Apply for Kutumba Pension Yojana Online?

The applications for Kutumba Yojana may be invited through a dedicated official portal or the Odisha One Portal. However, no details about the online application of Kutumba Yojana have been released.

Offline applications for the scheme might also be invited by the government through the concerned departments or the Mo-Seva Kendra.

Eligibility Criteria

Official eligibility criteria for the Kutumba Yojana is yet to be released by the  Odisha government, however, following families will be included in the eligible list.

  1. Families belonging to the freedom fighters.
  2. Families having annual income less than a certain amount (to be decided).

Documents Required

Following documents might be required for the application of Kutumba Pension Scheme.

  1. Aadhar card
  2. Voter ID card
  3. Proof of Odisha Residence
  4. Proof of being a family member of freedom fighter
  5. Bank account passbook for DBT
  6. Self declaration form
