Karnataka Migrant Registration – Dear Readers, Today we have got good news for all of you who are residents of Karnataka and are stuck in some other state. As you all know that due to COVID-19 the whole world is suffering from many problems. In order to control the virus, the government have implemented a nationwide lockdown. Due to this lockdown, there are many migrant people who are stuck in other states. The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an advisory to all state stating to bring back all the migrant workers. Karnataka government has launched an online portal called ‘Seva Sindhu’ in order to facilitate Karnataka Migrant Registration and movement of stranded citizens.
Karnataka Migrant Registration 2024
The Karnataka government has launched an online portal for the registration of migrant workers at the inter-state and inter-district levels. This initiative has been launched on the advice of the Ministry of Home Affairs. This portal is called the ‘Seva Sindhu‘ portal. Through this portal, the people who are stuck in Karnataka can register themselves and the people of Karnataka who are stuck in other states can also register themselves. This initiative has been taken due to the lockdown because of COVID-19. The registration process has been started on 2 May. You can register yourself on the official website.

There are three processes of Registration on the portal of

Travel to other Indian states from Karnataka
- Go to the Official Web Portal.
- Click on the link “Travel to Karnataka from other states”.
- Enter all the important details like your name, mobile number etc
- Enter your present address and destination address
- Select the option that whether you are travelling with family or travelling alone
- Mention that whether you or your family member has tested for coronavirus or not
- select the travel arrangement like you have your own vehicle or want the government to make an arrangement for you
- Give the details about your house that whether you have a separate room with toilet facilities for self Quarantine or not
- Mention all the required details
- Click on the submit button.
- You will get a reference ID for the Registration save this ID for future use

Guidelines To Be Followed On Return Rules & Regulation
There are certain guidelines which are listed below that have to be followed on return which is given by the Ministry of Health affairs:-
- New rules have been set for interstate passengers by the Karnataka Government.
- The people who are coming from high-risk states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will be quarantined in an institution for seven days.
- The test will be done for these returnees from 5th to 7th day.
- For all those peoples coming from other states home quarantine is encouraged.
- Pregnant women and people from age group above 80 years along with one attendant, health professionals, defence forces etc will be exempted from institutional quarantine
- Registration on Seva Sindhu is mandatory for entry in the state

- Migrant worker registration is done through an online portal.
- Registration is being done at the inter-State and inter-district level
- You will get all the information regarding the registration status and travel arrangement within 2 days of submitting the online form
- For inter-district travel, the bus will run from 3rd main between 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Shramik special train has also started.
