About Jagananna Saswatha Bhu Hakku Bhu Raksha Scheme

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy launched Jagananna Saswatha Bhu Hakku Bhu Raksha Scheme on 18th January 2024. Through this scheme, a comprehensive resurvey program will be launched in order to store the digital records of land. So that no one can tamper with the land records in the future. The registration of lands inward/village secretariat will commence soon after the completion of the comprehensive resurvey. QR code-based smart title cards will be issued to the landowner after the completion of the survey. The statewide exercise will begin on 21st December. The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has also reviewed the preparation before the launch of the comprehensive resurvey program. Officials are also directed to strengthen the security features of digital records by rotating in experts.

Objective Of AP Saswatha Bhu Hakku Bhu Raksha Scheme

The main objective of the Jagananna Saswatha Bhu Hakku Bhu Raksha Scheme is to store the digital records of land through comprehensive resurvey programs so that no one can tamper with the records in the future. Through this scheme, QR code-based smart title cards will be issued to the landowner which will contain the name of the property owner with a unique identity, photo, and QR code to make all future transactions safe. A hard copy will also be issued to the landowner of the land title. Through this scheme duplicate registration of land will be checked. Other than that the role of middlemen to carry out transactions will also be eliminated. This Scheme will also help to rule out any changes in the land record without the knowledge of the landowner.

Issuance Of Land Title Card

The hard copy of the land title will also be issued to the owner. Public awareness will also be created regarding the benefits of the resurvey of land and assets. The land title cards will have the property owner’s name with a unique identity, photo, and QR code to make all future transactions safe. Digital maps will also be prepared for every village and ward along with the details of title owners. The survey stones will be fixed after completing the survey error-free. At the secretariat digital property register, title register and a separate register for complaints will be kept for complaints.

A survey of 1.26 lakh square km in villages, towns, forest land has been taken under this scheme. 17640 villages will be covered in three phases of this survey which would also cover over 3345 km2 in cities and towns including 10 lakh open plots and 40 lakh assessments.

First Phase Of AP Saswatha Bhu Hakku Bhu Raksha Scheme

2.26 crore acres owned by nearly 90 lakh people will also be covered under this program. Land records of 12776 persons having 29563 acres of land in 51 villages will be covered in the first phase of this scheme. Under this scheme, a comprehensive land survey was done after a gap of a hundred years in the state. There were 3304 objections pertaining to 29563 acres which were resolved. The registration of properties will be taken up in the village secretary initially at 37 villages. This scheme will be carried out in the whole state by June 2024.

  • The land survey under this scheme was taken by using state-of-the-art technology using 1500 rovers and also by roping 4500 survey teams. Through this scheme duplicate registration of land will be checked.
