About Integrated Horticulture Development Mission 2025
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare launched the Integrated Horticulture Development Mission (also called MIDH) in April 2014. It’s a government-funded plan that supports the growth of fruits, vegetables, spices, mushrooms, roots and tubers, flowers, coconut, cashew, cocoa, bamboo, beekeeping, organic farming, and mechanization of horticulture.
Farmers get subsidies to help protect their produce. The government provides 85% of the total budget as grants, and state governments contribute the rest 15%. For northeastern and Himalayan states, the central government gives 100% funding. The National Horticulture Board and other agencies also get full subsidies for their programs.
Latest Update from Bihar

A farmer growing amla on one hectare can get 30,000 INR subsidy out of a total cost of 60,000 INR.
