Right now, there are 90,000 interview chances posted on the official portal by 193 companies all over India. That’s pretty cool, right? Also, a total of 307 companies still need to share their internship needs on this official website.
What is the PM Internship Scheme?
The Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Modi introduced the PM Internship Scheme to provide internship opportunities to the unemployed young citizens of India.
The portal went live on 12th October 2024 at 5:00 p.m. and as of now, 90000+ internship opportunities have been posted on the portal. Top companies including Jubilant Foodworks, Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motors, Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Muthoot Finance, and Reliance Industries have contributed towards the successful implementation of the scheme.
All the interns who will get selected under any internship will be able to work with the company for a total of 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria
- The citizens must be a permanent resident of India.
- The citizens must be a youth.
- The citizens must be currently unemployed.
- The citizens must have at least cleared class 10th.
- The citizens must be between the age group of 21 to 24 years.

Ineligibility Criteria
- All the citizens whose annual income is more than INR 8 lakh are not eligible to apply.
- All dose citizens whose family member is a government employee is not eligible to apply.
- Graduates from IITs, ILMs, National Law Universities, USER, NIDs, and IllTs are not eligible to apply for the scheme.
- Those having qualifications such as CA, and CMA. CS, MBBS, BDS. MBA, any master’s or higher degree.
- Those undergoing any skill, apprenticeship, internship or student training program under Central Government or State Government schemes.
- Those who have completed the apprenticeship. training under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) at any point.

STEP 2: Once the citizens reach the homepage of the official website they must locate and click on the option called “partners companies”.
STEP 3: The PDF files that include the list of partner companies will appear on your desktop screen you can also click on the “download icon” to download the PDF file.

STEP 1: All the young citizens of India who want to register under the PM Internship Scheme are requested to visit the official website.
STEP 2: Once the citizens reach the home page of the official website they must locate and click on the option called youth registration.
STEP 3: On the new page the citizens must enter their mobile number and click on the option called “submit”.
STEP 4: A registration form will appear on your desktop screen the citizens must enter all the details that are asked and attach all the necessary documents.
STEP 5: After entering all the details the citizens must quickly review it and click on the option “submit” to complete their process.
