Support for Flower, Fruit, and Vegetable Growers in 2025
The government has set aside Rs 12.73 crore for flower growers, giving Rs 10,000 per hectare to about 20,000 farmers. Similarly, Rs 69 crore is reserved for fruit and vegetable growers, providing Rs 10,000 per hectare to roughly 69,000 beneficiaries.
Benefits for Construction Workers and Street Vendors in 2025
Construction workers registered with the Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will get Rs 3,000 each. The government has set aside Rs 494 crore for this group.
Street vendors registered under the Atma Nirbhar Nidhi scheme will receive Rs 2,000 each, with about 2.20 lakh beneficiaries supported through a Rs 44 crore budget.
Support for Artists and Unorganized Sector Workers in 2025
Artists and artist groups will get Rs 3,000 each, with a budget of Rs 4.82 crore helping around 16,095 artists. Unorganized sector workers like tailors, potters, mechanics, blacksmiths, and domestic workers will receive Rs 2,000 each. For this, the government has allocated Rs 60.89 crore to benefit around 3.04 lakh workers.

The scheme includes a total relief package worth Rs 1610 crore for several affected groups. Main highlights:
- Rs 25,000 per hectare (up to one hectare) for farmers
- One-time payment of Rs 5,000 for 60,000 washermen and 2,30,000 barbers
- Rs 5,000 one-time support for 7.75 lakh auto rickshaw and cab drivers
- Postponement of fixed charges on power bills for MSMEs for two months
- Incentives for timely power bill payments and no disconnection till the end of June for defaulters
- Support for weavers with Rs 109 crore allocated, including Rs 2,000 each for 54,000 handloom weavers
- Support to 15.80 lakh registered manufacturing laborers with Rs 5,000 each
- To fund the package, alcohol prices have gone up by 17% in total
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced a Rs 1610 crore economic support package for the weaker sections affected by the lockdown.
