What is Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan
This year, India will celebrate its 76th Independence Day. As part of this celebration, the government is promoting the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which encompasses the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign. Prime Minister Modi has encouraged citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes between August 13 and 15. To facilitate this, the government has ensured a plentiful supply of flags, allowing for the production of flags from polyester, along with traditional materials such as khadi, cotton, wool, and silk.

How to Download the Har Ghar Tiranga Certificate
The Prime Minister has called on citizens to display the national flag from August 13 to 15 as part of the Independence Day celebrations. To participate, individuals must register on the official website to pin a flag at their home or upload a selfie with the flag. Later, they can download their Har Ghar Tiranga Certificate by entering their name in the designated block and clicking the download button, after which the certificate will be saved to their device.
Buying a Flag Online Through the Post Office Portal for Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan
- First, visit the official Post Office website: https://www.epostoffice.gov.in/
- Click on the image of the Indian national flag on the homepage.
- Locate the purchase option below the image of the flag.
- Enter your delivery address along with the required number of flags.
- Provide your mobile number.
- Make the payment online to complete your order.
- The cost of the flag is very affordable at just Rs. 25.
- Note: Orders cannot be canceled once placed.

Objective of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan

Important Dates for Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan
Under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on July 22, 2024, inviting citizens to raise the national flag at their homes from August 13–15 to celebrate the 76th Independence Day.

India’s Flag Code
India’s Flag Code, established in 2002, outlines guidelines for how the national flag should be displayed, flown, and hoisted. It came into effect on January 26, 2002.
Amendments to the Flag Code of India
A change made to the Flag Code on July 20, 2024, allows the national flag to be displayed both during the day and at night. Previously, it could only be flown during daylight hours. Furthermore, under the amended rules, individuals, private organizations, and educational institutions can now hoist the flag irrespective of any specific ceremony or occasion, as long as they maintain the dignity and honor associated with the national flag.

To pin a flag at your location, follow these steps:
- Go to the official website of Har Ghar Tiranga.
- Click on the PIN A FLAG option on the homepage.
- A new page will open where you need to enter your name and mobile number.
- You can also register using your Google account.
- Grant location access to pin your flag.
- Pin a virtual flag at your location to showcase your participation.
Upload Your Selfie with the Flag for Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan
- Visit the official website of Har Ghar Tiranga.
- Select the option to Upload Selfie with Flag.
- A window will appear for submitting your selfie.
- Enter your name and upload your photo.
- Click on the submit option.
