CAPF eAwas Portal 2025 – Login and Housing Application Guide

Learn how CAPF eAwas Portal 2025 helps Central Armed Police Force personnel find government housing easily with inter-force options and online application.

CAPF eAwas Portal was launched by India’s Home Minister Amit Shah on 1 September 2024 in New Delhi. This online portal is made to give more housing choices to Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel by making it easier to find government accommodation.

By logging into this portal, CAPF staff can look for available housing not just in their own force but also in other forces. This creates better housing opportunities and will increase satisfaction for CAPF members. The CAPF includes Assam Rifles, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Overview of CAPF eAwas Portal

The government started the CAPF eAwas Portal to raise housing satisfaction among CAPF personnel. According to Amit Shah, earlier there was a strict system where accommodation was given only to personnel of the same force for whom it was built. This portal removes that limit. If a force’s housing stays unused for 4 months, personnel from other forces can apply for it through this portal.

Besides helping personnel find housing across forces, the portal also checks demand to help plan new accommodations. Launching this portal is an important step towards meeting housing needs of CAPF personnel well.

Improvements in Housing Satisfaction of CAPF Personnel

Thanks to this portal, housing satisfaction among CAPF personnel has gone up by 13%. When the BJP government began in 2014, satisfaction was about 33-34% but now it has increased to 48%. Over 31,000 houses were built in the last 8 years, with 17,000 more under construction and 15,000 planned. After these are ready, satisfaction is expected to rise to 60%. The government aims to reach 74% housing satisfaction by 2024 using this portal.

Main Objectives of CAPF eAwas Portal

The main goal is to increase housing satisfaction for CAPF personnel by doing away with the old force-specific housing allocation system. Now personnel from different forces can apply for vacant houses of any force. Right now, about 19% of houses remain empty across CAPF forces. This portal makes fair allocation of these empty houses to eligible personnel possible.
