About Assam Sanskritik Mahasangram 2025
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma introduced this program to promote Assam’s rich musical and dance heritage. The Assam government plans to organize competitions featuring traditional music and dance forms such as Rabindra Sangeet, tribal dances, and Jyoti Sangeet, starting from October 25, 2024. There will be 20 example songs for each musical category. Participants can compete individually or in teams.
The prizes are attractive, with winners receiving Rs 1,00,000. The grand finale will be in Guwahati on February 7, 2025. Winners will receive awards at different levels including Gram Panchayat, Ward, District, and State.
